Lauren Bathgate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), Certified Nature-Informed Therapist, and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist with over 15 years of experience in helping and healing professions. Her passion lies in helping individuals hop off the hamster wheel of their lives and immerse themselves in the tranquil embrace of nature.
Lauren’s life mission is to empower people to live authentically, aligned with their values and purpose, through all the twists and turns that life’s path has in store. She founded Guided in Nature LLC to share this passion more broadly. Through our collaborative journey, we harness the therapeutic essence of nature and the practice of mindfulness. Lauren envisions a world where we can unplug from distractions and disconnection, and turn toward one another in true companionship, with nature as our ultimate guide to foster reciprocity.
For years, Lauren has worked within healthcare and integrative health settings, accompanying families along fluorescent-lit hospital corridors during their most trying moments. Her epiphany about nature’s healing power came when she brought it into her office space. She observed caregivers unwinding as they embraced the ambiance—often exhaling a sigh of relief amidst the gentle glow of her floor lamp, the presence of fresh flowers, and nature-inspired photos. A forest, a lake, a beach, a sunset, synchronized birds—these small, natural moments can become sources of calm, grounding, and serenity. We heal and thrive in connection with ourselves, one another, and nature. Nature therapy groups offered through Guided in Nature offer therapeutic, educational, and supportive strategies that can be implemented into daily life with ease. It’s time to get back to basics, foster community, and flourish throughout all the seasons of our lives.
